The last stretch of snow has been cleared for hikers in the Bishop area

Rainbow Pack Outfitters cleared the last stretch of snow on the pass making it 100% open. The first JMT & PCT thru-hikers are starting to show up in force.

All of the popular day-hike trailheads are snow free and wide open for hikers.

A quick reminder that overnight parking for the Bishop Pass trailhead is in the designated spaces at the upper lot at South Lake or anywhere along the road below Parchers Resort. All open parking between Parchers and the trailhead is designated as day use only.

South Lake: South Lake is still low & the fishing is mixed
Bishop Creek: Most of the fish caught at Bishop Creek were in the 10" to 12" range
Weir Lake: Nothing but good reports from Weir Pond this week
North Lake: Exceptional repoirts from North Lake, lots of fish caught were over 2 lbs.

South Lake: Fishing definitely slowed this week at South Lake
Bishop Creek: Anglers at Bishop Creek are reporting good to excellent fishing at the South Fork
Weir Lake: Quite a few great reports out of the Weir this week
North Lake: No reports from North Lake this week
Lake Sabrina: The boats are in the lake at Lake Sabrina & everyone is fishing
Trail Report: All of the popular day-hike trailheads are snow free and wide open.
