Upper Owens: Excellent-Good

Before the snow melt, dry fly action was off the hook. #18 BWO's, Elk Caddis, Stimulators, #22 Griffith's Gnats and #24 Adams Midges have been spanking the fish here. 12:00pm- sundown. The fish start out on the Caddis and Baetis, then have been switching over to the Midges as the sun gets lower. Water has been off color the last couple of days, but cooler temps should slow the melt and allow for some clearing. Nymphing has been hit or miss, but streamers have been coming through for the deeper sections. 3/26/08 picture of the UO valley is posted at www.sierradrifters.com/fish.html
