Crowley Lake 10/6/2018   Water temps in low to mid 60's across the lake.  The algae is there, but it's not really a problem. It's just on the surface.

Rod Size:  #4-#6 Weights

Tippet Size: 3-5X

Dries: Don't Bother

Nymphs: Red/Black Zebras, Black Zebra #20, Regular Red Baron (no white bead!), Copper Tiger , Shaft Emerger, Copper Zebra Midge

Streamers: Punk Perch, Perfection Perch, Hornberg, Dirty Hippy, Olive Matuka

DWP is dropping the lake fast still. Expect this to continue for the immediate future.

Seeing plenty of fish concentrated by where the bathroom usually is in Layton. Anywhere from 10-17ft of water I've been marking fish. There are a fair amount of smaller fish here along with some bigger fish. Haven't see many people in tubes over here, they're concentrated mostly by green banks still. These fish are still on the perch bite in the morning until the midge hatch starts. Once that happens they're all over just about any fly you can dangle in front of them. These fish know winter is coming and they don't have much time to fatten up before the lake freezes.

Green Banks is a mixed bag, some days it's all small fish, some days they won't eat unless you're stripping from the tube, and some days it's all big fish. I've seen fish all the way from the northern most weed line, all the way down to green banks bay in about 10-14ft of water.

Lots of perch on the grab too which make for some of the best fish tacos around if you can throw enough of them in the livewell!

I haven't been fishing in Crooked, Hilton or McGee lately. I'll try and do some exploring after the weekend.
