Russian River legend, Gino Franceschi with a limit of steelhead caught 1/14/2021!!! He was amid a group of boats working the same water that caught nothing! Way to go Gino and congrats!! 79 years young getting it done!!

As of today October 1 the Russian River is now under "low-flow" regulations until April 1. This means that no fishing is allowed if the flow in the river is under 300 cfs. The current flow is 92 cfs, therefore the river is closed to fishing. https://waterdata.usgs.gov/ca/nwis/uv/?site_no=11467000&PARAmeter_cd=00065,00060 Expect the river to remain closed to fishing until we got a couple of substantial rain storms. Once that happens its Steelhead season!!! ......
