The Pafcific Islander with Captain Rick Russell at the helm just returned from a 3 day Channel Islands trip with a healthy catch of quality whiteseabass, halibut and yellowtail. Mother nature played hardball with us for the first couple of days  with blowing conditions and rough seas but persistance payed off with a number of good chances at seabass, halibut and yellowtail. Day three conditions back down enough to access the recent white seabass hotspots and all aboard were blessed with a wide open bite on quality seabass with easy daily limits before heading back to the landing. The Pacific Islander still has some full day, overnight, 1 1/2 day, 2 day and another 3 day trip out of Oxnard before they head to San Diego. Check their website pacificislander.com for their entire schedule and to book online
