The weather has been rough at East Lake but the fishing has been really fun up there. Lots of really nice fish are still hanging around the banks. Remember to have a tow strap, chains, a shovel, and anything else you might need to get your vehicle out of the snow. This week is still looking cold but it’s a bit drier than last week. Balanced leeches are doing great under the indicator, big or small. Small nymphs such as assassins, midges, and chironomids, have been working as well. Stripping flies has been getting some big bites. Leeches do the trick but so do streamers. Small single hook streamers and articulated streamers have been working well. It’s hard to say when East will get snowed in but my gut says it’ll be before mid-November.

Suggested Flies: Bird’s Nest Hare’s Ear #14-18, Dark Assassin #14-18, Bird’s Nest Or Black Depth Charge #14-18, Red or Black Zebra Midge #16-22, Biot Midge #18-20, Disco Midge #18-20, Black or Red Chironocone #14-18, Flashback PT #14-18, Red or Black Yankee Buzzer #14,  Bruised Balanced Leech #10-14, Ruby Leech #10-12, Black Wooly Bugger #10-12, Olive Wooly Bugger #10-12, Black or Rust Slump Buster #10-12, Thin Mint #10-12, Olive or Black BH Mini Leech #12
