Big bugs are in full swing. Salmonflies and Golden Stones are widespread throughout the stretch from Warm Springs to Trout Creek, with fish willing to take large dry flies consistently. Focus your time on the banks with Chubbies, Norm Woods Specials, and Golden Stone patterns. The action should continue for another week or more, but the hatch will begin tapering soon.

Watch for mayfly and caddis activity, especially PMDs, Rusty Spinners, and a range of tan and olive caddis. These will become the main focus as the stonefly hatch fades.
