Today was the day I’ve been hoping for, and waiting to see again.
A good and consistent Callibaetis hatch came off about 1 and lasted for about an hour and a half. We landed about 10 on a comparadun and one on a film critic when the hatch just got started. Then it was duns for sure so the comparadun was the fly they are best today.
The fish were looking up at other times too, and Beetles and Chubby’s worked for us today before the mayfly hatch.
Lots of Chironomids deep early and late in the day.
It was pretty outstanding all around.
Not many fly anglers up there, so it’s pretty incredible now.
Go fish.
