The river has dropped a little and is now in very good shape from the top down to Shasta Lake. Some anglers have reported some late October Caddis here and there, but your best bet to get hooked up will be the small black stuff. Fish midge pupae and Blue Wing Olive nymphs. Soon fish will be susceptible to sculpins in the riffles, bring your streamer or trout Spey rod and some Slumpbusters.
