Report: The river continues to fish well up top below the dam through the Conservancy. There are browns getting ready to spawn, you can get them on nymphs and it isn't out of the question to fool them with streamers. Look for a smattering of Caddis, midges and Blue Wing Olives coming off for main hatches. The October Caddis should be pupating now, so we'll keep our fingers crossed there's a big crop this season. Dry-dropper with a Chubby Chernobyl hanging a Weiss Firefly, Walt's Worm, Olive Hotspot, or Sweet Pea is a good setup. The browns should be getting on to redds soon, so you can look to find them in the shallower riffly water attacking streamers.
