Danny Lane of Mother Lode Fishing is reporting that at Lake New Melone, name your favorite area and you will find great action. The Spillway, Angels Arm, Carson, Coyote, and Bear Creeks to name a few are areas that are quite productive. Special lures, really there are not any, the bows are stuffing themselves with Threadfin Shad so any lure that resembles a silver shad will work. Castmasters, Apex, Ex-Cel, Needle Fish to name a few are working real well. Target depth from 20' to 35' for bows to 20 plus inches and four pounds.
