The fishing on the Lower Owens is excellent with ideal wading conditions

Water Conditions: Good the flows are at 99cfs as of 2/24. Water is clear and rather cold coming out of the dam.

Fishing Conditions and Hatches: Fishing continues to be excellent. with perfect wading flows and daytime temperatures. Fish are really on the bite from 11am until 2pm but you can catch fish all day down deep. Fish Midges early. After that maybe a Baetis hatch for an hour, somtimes two midday.

DRIES: CDC Baetis Dun #16-#18, Hi Vis Parachute BWO #18, Hatch Matcher BWO #18

STREAMERS: Flahabou Buggers, Docs Twin Lake Special, Pops Bugger Olive, Hornberg

Hot Creek: The fishing window at Hot Creek is from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Owens River: The water is cold on the Upper Owens so fish deep, dark & slow
Owens River: Fish the Owens River Gorge during the middle of the day, hatches are limited at this time
Pleasant Valley Reservoir: The area right below the stream section of the Pleasant Valley Reservoir is the "Sweet Spot"
East Walker River (CA): The fishing on the Lower Owens is good from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Hot Creek: Right now Hot Creek is fishing fair, as the weather warms we expect the fishing to pick up
Owens River: There are still some big Crowley fish in the Upper Owens
Owens River: Not much in the hatch dept at the Gorge, but the fish seem to still take anything floating
Pleasant Valley Reservoir: Best fishing at Pleasant Valley Reservoir can be found in the area below the stream section
Owens River: On the Lower Owens fish midges early & Baetis later, the bite has been excellent
East Walker River (CA): If you go fishing on the Walker River you'll find a decent hatch and low crowds
