Madison River Fish Report

The Madison below Quake Lake has been a solid fishing option ever since it cooled off a few weeks back. If the skies are cloudy you will find fish rising to Baetis. A different mayfly has been spotted down there by Patrick and Tomcat. It was a size 16 with a green body. The case is still open so let us know if you have any leads. Otherwise the nymphing has been productive on the float stretch. When the weather is a little sunnier try hoppers and ants. On those overcast mornings and evenings a streamer will be a great option. The browns won't be happy when they see your fly swinging through their turf.
