http://www.blue-ribbon-flies.comThe Madison in YNP is one of the best fishing options right now. The holes aren't loaded with fish yet but there are enough in them to catch a couple spawners. Now is a good time to get in there and swing or nymph the major holes before things get too crowded. There are a few Baetis and caddis around so a double nymph rig, rubberlegs and a small nymph will also work here. You can swing soft hackles like our soft hackle streamer and have success. On the sunny days your can spot these fish so remember to keep your eyes open. They're smart and spooky.

The Madison below Quake Lake continues to fish well for our guides. The cold water keeps the nymphing consistent through out the day. The big browns will be lurking in the shallows during the morning and evening hours. We have a large selection of streamers this year so stop in if your box is looking low. On warm days the dry fly fishing has been good. Enough hoppers, beetles and ants have been around to keep the fish looking up.......
