The Upper D is a great small stream experience. Rainbows, Browns, and Brookies in the 8-12" range will eagerly take fluffy attractor patterns.?? Stripping small wooly buggers under cut banks and deep holes may fool some of the bigger fish. ??Try the area immediatley upstream from Bend.?? Keep an eye on water levels as this area can get low in winter months and is effected by storm run-off.?? Keep an eye out for little green/black stoneflies.?? On sunny days (even with snow on the ground) these little guys can blanket the river provide for some great dry fly action.

DRIES: Humpies, Coachman, Caddis, Adams, Green, yellow, or orange stimulators.?? NYMPHS: Stoneflies, prince, hares ear, serendipities.
