Keep an eye on water levels--westside winter rains can blow out the Upper McK in a heartbeat.?? Unless you have a boat, it is tough to fish the McK with winter closures in effect??on the river in??Willamette National Forest.?? However, fishing can still be good for trout downstrem from Blue River.

Winter steelies are beginning to show up below Leaburg Dam. ??It's still alittle early for this smaller run but things should pick up as winter wears on.??

DRIES: BWOs, Green stimi, Purple Haze, Green Caddis, Yellow Comparadun, Coachman, Renegade NYMPHS: Ocotber Caddis, Stoneflies, Copper John, Prince, P.T., green rock worm, soft hackles, green serendipity

STEELIES: A-leech (purple, black), MOAL leach, bright winter patterns work well.
