The Little Truckee River is seeing some great dry fly fishing in the morning and afternoon. In the early morning, anglers will see some dry fly opportunities around 9 am due to a midge hatch that occurs. If anglers are fishing mid-day, expect to see a small hatch of blue winged olives and midges from 12 to 3pm. The water is low and clear so fish are spooked easily. Anglers are recommended to use a 6x tippet on the Little Truckee River.

FLOWS:75 CFS

RECOMMENDED GEAR:
Flies/Bugs: Small Baetis Patterns, Midges, Pheasant Tails, BWOs
Gear:  9′ 5wt rod with 6x tippet
