Fishing Conditions on The Truckee River Are Improving

With the flows slowly coming down and the water temperatures increasing, fishing conditions on the Truckee River are improving. Anglers are seeing some sporadic caddis hatches throughout the day, but these could become more prominent in the evenings over the course of this upcoming week. Streamer bite is currently getting better. Anglers streamer fishing are having better success in the evenings than mornings and mid day. Some recommended flies for anglers to try are caddis pupa, green rock worms, burks bottom rollers, and medium size pheasant tails.
