The Fall is fishing well. It is set to be stocked again next week which will ensure it continues to fish well into summer. Nymphing has been the most effective for us with rainbow warriors, two-bits, zebra midges and a variety of small caddis/mayfly patterns. Caddis are becoming increasingly important and should be kept on hand in both dry and nymph forms. Sometimes when the fish are a bit picky, a streamer stripped around some of the downed timber can be the ticket. The river is fishing well and the fish are spread all the way from the headwaters to the confluence with the Deschutes so it might pay to explore some water you haven’t before.
