East Lake is steadily improving. Fish are holding deeper during the day but are cruising the shallows early and late. Scuds and Chironomids continue to be reliable producers, and Callibaetis hatches are ramping up. Fishing the full life cycle—suspending or slowly stripping nymphs near weed beds—is a great way to find active trout. Ants and beetles are also producing when conditions allow for surface eats.
