Another long dry spell for the Sierra's, and the Truckee River, ugh. Super mild afternoons, and very cold at night. Very stagnant weather pattern.

With the cold overnight lows, best to start a bit later in the morning. On the Nevada side, don't really matter to much as it's not nearly as cold at night near Reno.

You're gonna have some pretty low water temps on the CA side. Then it warms and melts snow in the afternoon. Cold all over. Go fish the Nevada side for the time being.

Nymphing and streamer fishing pretty much. We are getting close to the time for the really good dry fly fishing East of Reno on the Nevada side of the Truckee River. February is a damn fine month down there to get them on top. Sometimes it lasts right into March, we'll see. The bwo fishing down there can be all time when it's on.
