Fishing conditions:  Fair

Report: No real reports from the river as the flows on the low end are still above 1,300 CFS and dropping slowly. With warming weather and then a storm, the stoneflies should be popping in the upper end of the river. Checking out Simms and above would be where we would suggest. Keep a variety of Chubby Chernobyls on hand and fish dry-dropper. On sunny days you can possibly get a hatch, so a well-stocked dry box would be a shame to leave at home. We'd recommend fishing Hat Creek or the McCloud at Ash Camp for now.
