The Crooked River continues to fish really well and is settling deeper into its early summer pattern. Flows below Bowman Dam have remained stable around 190 CFS, providing excellent conditions throughout the river.

PMDs continue to be the main hatch during the afternoons and caddis activity has picked up noticeably. Fish are spending more time looking up and our recent days on the water have shown improving surface activity, especially during cloudy afternoons and calmer evening periods.

Nymphing continues to be a productive approach. Zebra Midges, Two Bit Hookers, perdigons, soft hackles, caddis pupa, and smaller mayfly patterns are all producing fish consistently. Fish are holding in softer seams, tailouts, riffle corners, and walking-speed buckets.

The Crooked continues moving toward prime dry fly season. Stable flows, increasing bug activity, and warming water temperatures are all pushing things in the right direction as we move further into June.
