The Crooked River continues to fish well with water conditions remaining favorable, and anglers are finding consistent action throughout the day by focusing on deeper runs, softer seams, and transitional water where trout continue to feed steadily.

PMDs have become the primary hatch, with fish beginning to key in on emergers and duns during the afternoon.

Subsurface fishing remains the most consistent approach. Small PMD nymphs, Zebra Midges, Rainbow Warriors, Perdigons, Higa's SOS patterns, Frenchies, Two Bit Hookers, and small leech patterns have all been producing fish. Adjusting depth throughout the day continues to be pivotal.

With stable flows, weather and healthy trout numbers, the Crooked remains a reliable options. As PMD activity continues to build, expect dry fly opportunities to improve heading into the coming weeks, especially during the afternoon and evening hatch windows.
