The Upper is ready to go!

Report Date:

Fishing conditions:  Good

Report: The lower river is definitely too warm to safely fish for trout, daily water temps are reaching above 65F daily. You can find better water above Sims. Flows are lower and the gage at Delta is 320 CFS. In and around Dunsmuir the Golden Stones, Yellow Sallies and PMDs continue to hatch, this should last for a little while. Bring your favorite salmonfly or golden dry and fish towards dark for best topwater action. Midges are always a good idea to fish. Caddis should be popping soon. Always have Rubberlegs, Perdigons, BP Weiss Nymphs, Poopahs, Zebra Midges and Bird's Nests to round out your offerings. The Upper is ready to go!
