Snow last week has put a damper on the report. The good news is nice weather is ahead and the bugs and fish are about to get happy. As the weather warms over the next few weeks look for blood midges to be out in force. Hanging midge patterns in red or black under an indicator or just stripping them in really slow with a sinking line should work for that. Damsel nymphs fished near the bottom in 6 to 12 feet of water is usually how the damsel season gets started. In the days to come look for the damsels to start to show themselves in shallow water and hopefully start to hatch. As this happens then an intermediate or even a floating line can be used. A long leader 9' to 12' in 3x should do the trick.
