It's way to hot for good fishing on the Klamath

Current River Conditions: Not too much happening on the upper Klamath. It's just way to hot out! But lower in the river the salmon fishing has been good one day, tough the next. Look for river flows to increase in an effort to avert the warm water fish kill of 2001. There are a zillion salmon all ready to move up river. This could be one epic steelhead season coming up!

The Fly Shop's ? Tips: Go fish the lower river, near Blue Creek, for best results. We recommend fishing from a boat in order to access the best water. Best flies are going to be various egg patterns including clown-eggs and micro spawns in yellow and pink for single-hand fly rod fishing. Swinging SALT Stones, Euphoric Muddlers and articulated leeches on a spey or switch rod, wearing shorts and sandals and short sleeves has to be experienced!
