We are still hearing fairly slow reports from Crane. We have heard of some Callibaetis hatches but the fish not really keying in on them yet. The success we have heard of has been coming on balanced leeches and small (18-22) midge and chironomid nymphs. When the fishing is a bit slow, stripping flies can be a good way to cover more water and try and find some fish. The fishing on Crane should improve a lot as the season moves along and we are excited to get after some fish up there this summer.
