Truckee River Fishing Report

Truckee River Outfitters

The Truckee is in great shape right now from the Boca Bridge area down through Reno. The flows are around 400 CFS but they are starting to yo-yo a little. Warmer weather this week could create some run-off problems so keep an eye on the flows. The Nevada side of the river has been fishing really well over the past couple of months. There have been some really big fish caught on a variety of methods. Brown Trout in the 5 to 10 pound class have been caught as recently as last week. Blue Wing Olives and Skwala Stones have been hatching in the lower river and the dry fly fishing has been great. The weather will have a big in-pact on the river in the months to come due to a decent snow pack. For daily information on the Truckee flows check out the USGS stream flow site.
