The road to the Little Truckee is not plowed in the winter. It has been impassable almost all winter. It is still in pretty bad shape but it could be accessible very soon. The flows have been at 239 CFS for a while now. If the flows stay in that range the fishing should be really good as soon as you can get there. Usually nymphing is the way to start the season at the Little Truckee. The higher flows will require a split shot or two in order to get your flies down to the fish.
