East Carson River fly fishing conditions are excellent for this time of year

Carson River Flows are down to 146 CFS. They are really holding on this summer and the conditions are great for this time of year. The water is really clear and a stealthy approach is a must. Longer casts and longer leaders with dry flies like Adams, Cahill's and Hoppers are worth a try. Nymphing in the deeper runs with either a dry dropper or under an indicator is also been effective. Smaller Stones, Trico's, Midges and Caddis are all good bets.
