The Fall continues to fish very consistently. Fish are spread throughout the system holding in the classic deeper bends, undercut banks and slower, walking-speed, runs.

Midges and BWOs are still the most consistent hatch presence, but PMDs are beginning to show up during the afternoons, with a little caddis activity mixed in during the evenings. Fish are definitely looking up during certain windows but subsurface presentations are still producing the most consistent action overall.

Nymph setups are fishing best right now. Zebra Midges, Perdigons, 2-Bits, Pheasant Tails, small olive mayfly patterns, and balanced leeches are all solid choices. Long leaders, light tippet, and clean drifts continue to matter on the Fall’s clear water.

Streamer fishing has also been quietly productive for anglers covering water looking for larger holdover fish. Smaller patterns like Soccer Moms, mini jig leeches, and sculpins are moving fish around structure and weed edges when fished slow and controlled.

The river is in a really good spring groove right now with steady bug activity, healthy fish movement, and consistent opportunities throughout the day.
